He was the biggest pop star prior to Elvis and many stars that followed credit him as having the most effect on their style, careers etc, including Elvis whose on stage antics were born out of Ray’s.

Lonnie presents this great American songbook not as Johnnie Ray but in his own unique style and anyone who likes swing or the big band sound will really love this. The biggest hit just prior to Rock'n'Roll was the song 'Cry' from 1951 and this is the name of this exciting show.
